HAV IgM Test (Colloidal Gold) is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay designed for the qualitative detection of IgM antibodies against Hepatitis A Virus (HAV) in human serum or plasma. It aids in diagnosing Hepatitis A infections. The test uses a burgundy-colored conjugate pad containing HAV recombinant envelope antigens conjugated with colloidal gold and mouse IgG-gold conjugates. The nitrocellulose membrane strip contains a test line (T) precoated with antibodies against human IgM and a control line (C) precoated with goat anti-mouse IgG. The presence of HAV IgM antibodies is indicated by the formation of a burgundy-colored T line, while the absence of this line suggests a negative result. The C line serves as an internal control to confirm the proper function of the test device.
